My name is Imogen Louise Dare. I am a photographer based in east Anglia and Norfolk.
My photographic practice spans across both still and moving image with a focus on landscapes, environmental portraiture, and street photography. I am particularly fascinated with the exploration of why it is that we find it so vital to capture our lives through the medium of photography, and the powerful influence that visuals and audio can have on our emotions. I aim to evoke a feeling of nostalgia and peace throughout my work, drawing inspiration initially from authentic images taken on film by my grandfather in the 70s. I aspire to produce work that can speak to the viewers own memories, establishing a connection between the piece and their own experiences. My work is a documentation of people and places that aims to highlight the importance of the preservation of memory.
